carebear countdown
12 days left in old Kingstony. I'm at the stage where I'm starting to say to myself "2nd last time at Next," "last time at the Penitentiary Museum," "last time biking to the library," "last time going to the Cineplex," and so on. I'm purposefully leaving last times seeing different people out of that list not because the movie theatre is more important to me than the friends, but because the friends are more important than the movie theatre. It feels like everything is coming together well. I'm whittling down my to-do list with the help of people like my dad, Sarah, and Jayson and Kelly. Thanks to you guys for the ways you've helped me get the things I want and need, and thanks to everyone who's been supportive and praying for me.
Oh man, I feel silly writing like that, it feels like a melodramatic farewell letter. And I prefer my melodrama to be a joke.
One thing I will be saying a permanent goodbye to when I leave is my car. My purple rusty Nissan, one of the most amazing gifts I've ever received will soon be biting the dust. The undercarriage is so rusty I've been warned not to drive it on the 401, and a piece of the brake drum broke off this week. Plus the radiator is shot. Anyone need a ride anywhere?

The purple plum probably was one of the best gifts you'll ever receive. Thanks for being so generous with it...I remember it got me around while you were away for the summer. When you come back and start teaching you'll be able to buy the first car you'll buy yourself! Yay for firsts!
