Today my winter-long search for a pair of (cheap) high-heeled boots finally came to an end. I've been checking Payless, Value Village, and other shoe stores' clearance racks pretty regularly all winter, and finally found my pair today at Value Village for $12.99. Expensive for Value Village, cheap for boots. The only hiccup now is that the heels on these boots are about twice the height of what I am used to. There will be lots of practicing around the house in the coming days.

$12.99 for boots? That's awesome! How high up your leg? Just don't wear them all day every day, my old housemate shortened her archilles tendons and can no longer walk barefoot from wearing way-too-high boots every day!
