a peep

Hello from Brisbane. We're staying here in a gorgeous house with a hospitable friend of our friends in Sydney. It makes for a very nice break from camping.

We've been travelling up the coast, camping near the beach, and swimming in the powerful Pacific. Well, not really swimming, more jumping around in the waves and floating a bit when there's a calm moment. The last few days have been all about beautiful scenery and a very exciting visit with a woman I worked with at Friend Ships. My parents and I got to spend most of Sunday with her, and it was wonderful to get to visit her church and catch up on what's happening in her life. I hope we'll get to connect again before I leave the country.

This morning we booked our campgrounds for the whole way to Cairns. Our most exciting one will be at Airlie Beach, where we're spending four nights on a campsite with an ensuite bathroom! I had never even heard of having your own toilet just for your site-to me that's pretty much the ultimate in camping luxury.
