As you can see, we made it to Sydney! I took that quintessential Sydney picture today while my parents and our friends were on the ferry to go to Manly Beach. Here are some of the Christmas decorations we saw on the way:

Our trip has been going very well since we left Melbourne. We've seen a living history gold-mining town, ridden a paddle-steamer, hiked to the peak of the highest mountain in Australia, visited a couple of great museums and art galleries, and seen more Australian wildlife than you can shake a stick at (kangaroos, koalas, emus, lizards, cockatoos, other parrotesque birds, kookaburras, an echidna-and so far this is all in the wild). We're very happy to be with our friends in Sydney and have some time off the campervan. While we're here I'll try to post some of the pictures from the last week or so to catch you up on what we've seen and done. I hope you're all well and that you'll have beautiful, blessed holidays!
