part 2
Behold the beautiful sunset that we watched on Tuesday night from Kangaroo Grounds Tower (I think that was the name). My friend Hugh took me and my parents to Warrandyte for ice cream and a walk along the Yarra. After dinner, we went to this tower to enjoy the views of the mountains and the city. In this picture you can sort of see the tall city buildings just to the left of the sun.
Here's mum, me and my dad at the top of the tower. This picture was quickly taken during the five minutes my mom spent up the tower, clutching the inside wall at all times. She looks almost happy in this picture though, eh?
Here's Hugh and my parents at the bottom of the tower, after the sunset. Isn't it amazing how light it still is even though the sun's gone down? Although maybe that's normal and I'm just not terribly observant...
Muchas gracias to Hugh for driving us all around the outskirts of Melbourne at a speed my mom was comfortable with, and to his parents for having us over for a cuppa at the last minute. It was great meeting them, and being trained to play I Spy according to letters, not colors.

Sorry, but your mom does not even look 'almost happy'. She has a glazed look of fear.
I got your postcard and Christmas card when I got back. Thank you! James has taken the pic of you for his own collection and I love the koala one! I love koalas:)
Hope you have a great time with your parents. Try not to scare your mum too much.

Mianh, maybe that's because you're Australian. Or smart, whatever. Oh guess what, I said whatev last night to someone who had never heard it before. I'll have to start dropping it into converstions all the time! Aphra, glad you enjoyed the pictures, it was really hard to decide which ones to give people.

shh, I'm only Aussie when it suits me (for example, at customs).
Smart I can own most of the time, however.
I'm going to walk around for the rest of today saying "ER" in an attempt to redress the gross imbalance you are creating in the universe with that monstrous 'whatever' botching.
