long weekend

It's the last day of a long weekend for us, and we've struggled all weekend with how to spend our time. I should pull on some grubby clothes and get outside to do some yardwork, but I am SO over our garden. Sometimes our yard makes me wish we lived in an apartment.



It's Hugh's dream to be able to get our plane tickets to Canada with air miles type points. Yesterday while he worked on the last bit of homework for his business diploma, I used the points calculator to work out the feasibility of his plan. It turns out we'd each need 130 000 of the points-which we might have in about 5 years. I think Hugh was a bit disappointed, and I could tell he was already plotting and thinking of ways to accumulate more points faster.

I think the Bible teaching bit went really well at Illuminate last Friday. The kids even participated well when we did a song. One of the youth leaders had thought up great actions, so even the kids who might have had a hard time picking up the words could join in on those.
