day 1-success
The school holidays have gotten off to a good start, with a nice mix of relaxing and getting stuff done today. One of my goals is to prepare the 20 RE lessons for term 2 in these two weeks, and I got three done today.
I also worked out the bit of my knitting pattern I didn't understand. Now the coffee plunger cozy can continue!
The one thing missing from today that I really should have done: exercise. The weight loss has stalled over last couple of weeks. I think I need some reward to motivate myself-I was thinking a new pair of jeans once I've lost 5 more kilos-any other suggestions?
I had a nice weekend on the coast with a couple of friends. The unit we stayed in had Super Master Mind. Our family had the Disney version at our cottage when I was young, and I've been getting back into the game at the tutoring centre where I work when we play games during the last session of term. I was quite excited to play the game with peers rather than people over a decade younger than me, but I underestimated SUPER Master Mind. They had 5 peg holes and extra colors. It fried my brain, and we had to switch to using just 4 of the holes. (Thanks for humoring me girls :))

It's a pretty straightforward cable pattern, and I'm using the yarn leftover from Tigerlily's baby blanket.
What we really need is a teapot cozy, since we don't drink coffee (we only use the plunger when we have guests), but the teapots we have are wierd sizes. The coffee plunger is wonderfully uniform :)
