Comment yo!
There's an m&m sitting right by the computer I'm working at in the computer lab. VERY tempting. I'm better able to resist the temptation to eat it knowing I have a small amount of a Cadbury Dairy Milk bar resting in my purse beside me.
Today I gorged on Australian animals. I saw emus, kangaroos, koalas, goannas, platypuses, cockatoos, dingos, tasmanian devils and other creatures I can't even remember right now. My camera died after I took my first picture (the second time this has happened in the last couple of months, must remember to re-charge batteries before important events). Luckily, Sam took lots of great pictures that she's passed on to me. I'll post them tomorrow when I have energy.
It's been a busy weekend with pretty much no time for schoolwork. It's sort of becoming a game to see how long I can go without doing any. Will I cave in at the three week mark, or will I make it four weeks? (I am actually doing a little schoolwork-my readings for English class and Issues in Education, but they are so short compared to the history and classics readings I'm used to that they feel like nothing. I can do them all in less than 4 hours and then that's it for the week.)
But back to the busy-ness. Yesterday I spent time with Heather and then also with Brian and then also with Sam. I brought Heather and Brian to my place, and then on our walk back to campus, and the tram stop to get back to where they live, we saw two kangaroos eating under a tree, and we could see the joey sticking out of one of their pouches! (It feels like all I post about is animals...)
Today was the trip to Healesville Sanctuary which you will see the photographic proof of soon. The drive there was great because the scenery was nice, and because I was starting to identify Australia solely with Melbourne. And then dinner at Sam's, and then a nice walk home, and now, off to bed nice and early.
