that'll teach 'em!

About 80% of my classes seem pretty exciting so far. All the subjects include a lecture and then a tutorial/seminar. I have two "Issues" classes that have different lectures each week, one of the classes has all the education students in it and deals with issues you might come across at any grade level ie last week's was on students with English as a second language. The other issues class is focused on primary education. Then we have classes about each of the subject areas we'll have to teach: english, maths, humanities, health and phys ed (HPE), visual and performing arts (VPA), learning technologies (I think that will be computer stuff, although I don't really know what kind of computer stuff do anticipate), and science. Also, we'll have a class that teaches us how to weave several of those subjects into a unit or lesson plan. Some of the classes are every second week, which is nice. Most of my teachers seem really good, although some are definitely more interesting than others.
It sort of hurts to be in school while I know people are on holidays back home, but hey, I'll have a 3 month holiday during my new summertime while you guys are all in school/working.

If it makes you feel better, some of us are back to work.

Carolyn says that they're thinking about dropping by for a swim in your pool before lunch today. Do you miss the pool? Or is it too cool there to be thinking about pools?

When is this 'new summertime'? Can I sign up? I still haven't found the old summertime :)

Our daycare's last day is today and then I am forced to 2 weeks holiday. I wouldn't take it unless they forced me - I have too much to do!

Yes Bob, as I sit here with the hood of my hoodie up, it does feel too cold here to want to swim.

We swam! It was great! But not the same without you. It was actually the temperature of bath water so you may have found it warm enough even in the cold weather. Thanks for the hat! I'll sew it up soon. Love the colours. It may be a little small but if it doesn't fit me Tara will love it. Miss you.
