You're in for a treat!!

Yesterday, I was on my way to my 5th hour of classes in a row, and 7th hour of classes in the day when I saw something out of the corner of my eye that made me think "Woah, that's a big squirrel." Knowing that impression was probably wrong, I stopped for a better look. It was a cute cuddly looking animal, and thankfully there were lots of Australians around (this being Australia) to let me know it was a baby possum!!! (Imagine my cries of glee!) Apparently its really rare to see them during the day, much less on the ground during the day. When we came out of class the possum was still there, but in a tree. I didn't have my camera with me, but thankfully Sam did, and she e-mailed me the pictures she took. But I can't get the picture to upload, sorry.

lol, possums are hated here with an intense, unrivalled passion (I have a possum fur scarf!).
Seriously - I have encountered the most PC, peaceful, nature-loving people who go out of their way to run them over on country roads. Isn't context interesting?

possums don't seem all that popular here either...one classmate mentioned throwing a brick...it helped that it was an adorable baby

What is it about you that attracts animals outside your place?

hmmm...maybe I should give up the teaching plan and just get people to pay me to attract wild animals...oh wait, it doesn't actually happen that often. People would feel ripped off.
