changes

I got a haircut last Friday. My hair isn't much shorter, but there are a lot more dramatic layers and it's been super thinned, plus I have bangs again. Yet it took until today for someone (one of my tutoring students) to notice that anything had changed!

Our friends Lyndall and Ben welcomed their daughter Avalyn into the world yesterday. It was very exciting to visit them last night and have a newborn cuddle.

The heatwave continues. I'm sweaty. But the insulation does actually seem to be helping the house to not get too hot. The forecast for the rest of the week is calling for highs in the 30's-I can't wait until next Monday when the high is supposed to be 21 :) And some rain would be nice.
