October

The pumpkin pie I made for Thanksgiving. I didn't think one from scratch would turn out very well, but I used Kent pumpkin (the best tasting squash in the world) and it turned out to be delicious. I think I'll be making another one for American Thanksgiving.

On Saturday night, we celebrated the Protestant Reformation (day picked by Jon, because it's when Luther posted his 95 Theses). Hugh dressed as a reformer who was burned at the stake for their beliefs:
We bobbed for apples, in a nod to the Anabaptists who believed in adult baptism (yeah, I know it's a bit of a stretch).
We also played "pin the 95 theses on the door". I was amazed at how willing everyone was to play my childish games-my friends are good sports!

A BIT OF A STRETCH. I WOULD THINK SO

In other news I drank a energy drink today and I think it brings out my inner obnoxiousness. Or rather, my inner wit. And I will spread it from here to facebook without discrimination.

I'd probably never ever peel an actual pumpkin for pumpkin pie either. Canned pumpkin is about a 0.99 cents here and just as good
