the first day of school holidays
has been pretty good. I have done laundry and dishes, both jobs not quite finished yet. I paused to read a book. Scatterheart, about a girl arrested in London and sent to Australia on a convict ship. Good, but disturbing and sad in some places. It's left me in a bit of a doldrums mood. I don't understand how some people read bleak and sad books all the time. I need to turn on my new Relient K cd (birthday package from mum and dad arrived this morning!) and get off the couch.

Actually its raining here and I have no class today. If I hadn't told my roommate that I would run some errands with her today I think I could have stayed in bed all day. That would have been awesome

Right after writing this post, I managed to get moving...I finished the laundry and cleaned my desk and started writing thank you cards-enough to make me feel like the day had a good balance of productivity and rest.
How are your classes so far?

My spanish class is really cheesing my goat. The prof seems to have not read the course description and is just teaching us whatever he wants. This is the third spanish class that i've had that a prof has done this and im cranky. So i'm going to go to the head of the department and get reasonably cranky in her face.
