pinch, punch, first of the month
I'm researching cloth diaper laundry services in preparation for a friend's baby shower and I'm starting to think I smell diapers...maybe time to call it quits for tonight!
We've been to the second (and final) week of a small intro to church doctrine course at church tonight. It was great :) We talked about the doctrine of creation, which is excellent timing, because we're doing the first few chapters of Genesis in our sermon series at church, and we're talking about creation in RE for the rest of the term.
I had a really easy-going weekend. Hugh had a couple of things on due to his bank involvement. He's on the board of two branches of a community bank-profits from the bank are reinvested into the community through grants, and so the board members keep getting invited to things by the groups they've given grants to. On Saturday afternoon Hugh went to a lawn bowls tournament (the bank had given this bowling club a grant for new fake grass) and on Sunday Hugh got to introduce and hand out the prizes at a battle of the bands at the Hurstbridge Wattle Festival. I joined Hugh on Sunday, but spent most of the battle walking around the rest of the festival with Hugh's parents. (I don't like loud music.) Hugh got to hand out a giant cheque as the first prize...if I was a better blogger, I would get the picture I took of it off my phone and onto this blog post...but laziness wins. I'll just let you picture it, let your imaginations run wild :)
