I've been back in Melbourne for a week and slowly getting back into the swing of things.
Planning lessons at work is doing my head in-I'm finding myself very plodding in my thinking and doing.
I'm working on renewing my teaching registration and have found out I need a Canadian police check to renew. It could take between 1 and 4 months to get it, and my registration runs out in 10 days. What kills me is I decided to leave my renewal forms until after I got back from Canada, but if I had only looked at them while I was in Kingston, I could have popped into the police station and had a police check right away. This is the kind of thing that drives me crazy with self-recrimination, but I am working hard on not dwelling on it.
In much happier news, Mianh's had a baby boy! Check out her blog for a picture.

I haven't read your blog in ages!
You should ring VIT because I had some issues with my registration, but they were able to put it on hold (meaning I am still registered) until I can sort things out. They might be able to do the same for you, pending the receipt of your police check.
Just a shot in the dark.
