the 1st half of the best post. ever.

Yesterday I and 5 cars worth of other international students spent the day at Kate's family's dairy farm near the border of Victoria and New South Wales. We left cold and rainy Melbourne around 8:30 am and headed into the country. Once at Kate's farm, we got to see calves who were between a day and a week old, stick our fingers in the suction part of the cow milking machines, have a tour of the farm, see a motor bike demonstration, visit a state park, and eat great food. Thank you Footes for the great day! I've split the post about the day into two parts so that you'll only have two long posts to read, rather than one epic post.
Here are Kath (who drove the car I went in), Sam (who you've met before) Lizzie, me and Kelly at the farm. Lizzie and Kelly are in my Wednesday night Bible study and, as you can see, wear cool sunglasses.

This photo is of Kate and her brother Campbell, who gave us a motorbike demonstration on the course he and his brother have built. I have a picture of him going off one of the jumps, but blogger didn't put my pictures up in the order I uploaded them, so you'll have to wait a second to see it.

This is a calf that was born while we were there! We came back from the state park near Kate's farm just in time to see it standing up for the first time.

Here's Kate's brother going off the scariest jump. Kate's other brother built the metal ramp himself. After he finished his demo, Campbell was mobbed by young Asian ladies who wanted their pictures taken with them.
Lastly for this post, here's me about to go attach some suction cups to a cow's teats!

The next post will have some VERY EXCITING pictures from the state park. I've tried to put them up, but blogger isn't uploading them for me, so I'll try again tomorrow. Stay tuned!

    Wow!!!
    You are so cool Joanna!
    I love you!
Keep doing fun stuff...I think you've had more adventures since you've been in Australia than you had in two years here.
