napping

Sorry about the delay since the last post. I am so glad to have all my assignments done and handed in! Yesterday as a birthday present to myself, I got a haircut. I'm mostly very happy with it, but I wish my mom was here to take about an inch off the bottom. Here's a picture of me with a bunch of my girlfriends who came out with me last night to celebrate my birthday. I don't know how well you'll be able to tell I've had my haircut. The most dramatic part of it is that I have bangs again! My forehead was just feeling way too big, so I decided to get some side swept bangs to cover it up a bit.
This picture is from Tuesday when in groups of 4, my class presented and did some materials technology lessons. The doll is from the lesson I designed, where the challenge was to make an outfit for someone going to Antarctica, keeping in mind the climate there and the properties of different fabrics. Getting the doll and fabric for this project helped me discover the Value Village of Australia, called Savers-same warehousey feel, same stapled on price tags.

    I've never not had bangs!

Interesting how all the people in your photo have either no bangs, or the side swept bangs. I've only ever had the straight-across-the-forhead bangs, so congratulations on your bravery :)

Interesting to note that Value village is a universal concept!

when i worked at value village it was my understanding the australian branch went by the name "thrift village". the US branch goes by "savers". maybe it is the same company! that would explain a lot.
