beautiful feet

Last week while chatting with Sam on msn, she asked me if my diploma had arrived yet. (LaTrobe was supposed to send us international students our diplomas after the October 19th graduation ceremony.) A few seconds later the doorbell rang-it was a delivery company dropping off my diploma! As much as I hadn't really wanted to go to my Queen's graduation, missing the LaTrobe ceremony makes me glad I did. Your parent signing off on the delivery of your little white diploma tube just doesn't have quite the same rite of passageness/finality/formality as being 'knighted' with my diploma and being told to "rise, bachelor of arts."

Well, rise, Bachelor of Arts! Congratulations! Are we having a party? (The Christmas party doesn't count.)

I think I can redeem your enjoyment of receiving packages in the mail.
Keep your eyes peeled and your ears pricked for delivery people!
