advent

Today we went to get me new glasses at the new mega cheap glasses store in the mall. But then while I was having my eyes tested, Hugh ended up getting mega pressure from the sales staff to also get new glasses. It left a yucky taste in my mouth. Why must salespeople be so focused on selling?!

Tonight Tiana is coming over and I am going to subject her and Hugh to the beginning of our Advent devotions. I found some a free devotional online put together by a church in North Carolina. I've only skimmed it so far, hopefully it will be good. The winning factor was that they have a song with every day's devotion-tonight we get to sing O Come, O Come Emmanuel, one of my favorites.

It's raining again-yay! And I think that some of the things growing in our garden bed are not weeds, but perhaps the flower seeds I planted!

ooh, I love that one too. Can we sing Christmas carols together in Jan? No-one here will sing with me. Although Tyler does play a few on his ukulele. . .

We shall definitely be singing some Christmas carols in January. Hugh and I tried to sing Lo How a Rose E'er Blooming last night, but it didn't work out very well due to Hugh not knowing the song, and me not being able to find a good starting note (I still insisted on singing all 4 verses though-Hugh was very patient). All that to say, I look forward to Christmas carolling with someone of your expertise :)

My absolute favourite Christmas carol. And we sang it last night, as well!
