a long post

Since my last post, I have:
-flown to Sydney with Hugh to pick up his new car
-spent the evening catching up with the Russell's
-driven the 11 hours back to Melbourne (Hugh even let me drive for a few hours :))
-received my Christmas present from Hugh's parents-a big shop at the clothing store Carole works at
-put up the Christmas tree
-celebrated our first anniversary (low key-Hugh made me dinner and we watched The Proposal-good, but him falling in love with her happened a bit too quickly and unconvincingly for me)
-taught my last full Sunday school lesson for the year
-went to an outdoor memorial service where I accidentally swallowed a fly while singing
-swallowed a spider to catch the fly
-just kidding
-packed hampers for families who are still struggling to rebuild after last year's bushfires
And in between all that I've been preparing for our church's annual mission which happens from tomorrow to Sunday. A group of Christian Union students comes from Melbourne Uni and we put on all sorts of special things. Hugh and I are hosting two of the students, and I'm involved in visiting the schools where I teach RE to put on a play and Christmas craft (I'm in charge of organizing the costumes, which of course I've left to the last minute) and I'm also organizing the games for the free children's carnival we're running on Saturday-which I also have a bunch of last minute details to work out. Why must I procrastinate?!
This is my last week at work as well...I'm very much looking forward to next Monday when my holidays start :)
