celebrate

It's Hugh's birthday today! Don't tell him, but our new camera has arrived and I'm going to pick it up this morning so that it will be here when he gets home from work :)
Hugh is much less excited by gifts and the other standard birthday celebratory things than I am. Which is a bit boring, and takes a bit of getting used to for me. We've already been celebrating my birthday on Sunday, then both our birthdays with his family last night, and one of our friends is bringing a cake to Bible study on Wednesday night as well. We have definitely been spoiled when it comes to cake. I feel like I won't be celebrating Hugh's birthday properly if I don't make him a cake, but seeing as we've already had three birthday cakes between us, and another coming tomorrow, maybe it would be more loving if I just bought him some creme caramel (which he always picks if we're buying dessert rather than making it-that or a chocolate bar).

I'm 28. Hugh's 29. This is the first birthday where I've felt a bit old. Time, I compel you to stop!
