Today has been a long one. A one year old birthday party, complete with pig on a spit, coffee with friends, dinner with other friends, and then a 30th birthday party. It was great to see friends from out of town at both of the birthday parties. After all that socializing, my face and head muscles are sore from talking and smiling.
Here is Avalyn with her parents, poised to blow out the candle. It's worth having a squint at the cake-an owl from the show Giggle and Hoots. (And be thankful I didn't post a picture of the pig on a spit that was the main feature of our lunch!)
